Welcome to the Los Angeles County Underwater Instructor Certification Course. Started in 1954, UICC was the first recreational scuba instructor certification course in this country. Today's UICC is a 14 week long course, and is recognized as the most prestigious recreational scuba diving instructor certification course available.
As an LA County Underwater Instructor, you can become a major contributor to diving safety and education and can make a profound difference in people's lives.
Instructors from other recognized organizations such as NAUI, PADI, YMCA, etc. are invited to cross over to our LA County Underwater Instructors Association to become LA County scuba instructors.
