The Los Angeles County Underwater Instructors Association (LA Co. UIA) is offering an opportunity for graduates and current candidates of their Advanced Diver Program to become members of the LA Co. UIA, which is the oldest, most prestigious diver education organization in the country.

Associate Member Benefits

• Associate Members will be able to attend for free lectures to be given by guest speakers who are noted authorities in the diving industry, as part of the UICC and ADP curriculums.
• Associate Members will receive newsletters that have a calendar of upcoming events, including dive trips, and articles written by noted diving authorities and leaders. Members will be given the opportunity to contribute articles to the newsletter. Newsletters are only one of the tangible benefits of paying an annual membership fee.
• Anytime Associate Members go diving at an LA County sponsored event, they can expect to improve their diving skills with help from the volunteer staff. They can also expect to have fun and to make new friends.

Thus, by participating in the LA County UIA as Associate Members, people will be contributing to diving education and to scientific research projects while having fun at the same time. People can join anytime and members are encouraged to bring their families and friends to events.
